Wordless Wednesday

I didn’t realize how much I missed my house until we got back and started making it a home again.  We have a lot of renovations to do, but here’s a few pictures of our hard work to make it a home so far.  The washer & dryer will be delivered tomorrow Friday!!!  That trip to the laundromat last week was a real chore and humbling, let me tell ya.

My office and the family room/man cave…

My kitchen, see my new refrigerator?  Can you say clearance? Yay!

The girls room….

Our room….

My favorite small appliance and best friend…

As you can see, we have a lot of work to do but we are in here and it feels good.  Don’t forget about the 31 day photo challenge, it’s been a challenge but I’m doing it.  Click here for info on participating.  Have a wonderful Wednesday!

  1. Thank you for sharing Whitney. Home is where the heart is so matter what renovations you think are needed, as long as ya’ll have each other, it’s perfect! :)

Now that’s the truth Brenda, I agree 100% on that. We have a few things we can start on, low cost…like the shower in our bedroom, painting 3 rooms. Hopefully those are done by end of October.

  2. Take your time we have been living in our home for years and don’t even have living room furniture a shame I know.

  3. Glad you and the family are settled in! The most important thing is that you are all together and falling in love again with your new home. Good luck with the renovations…start small so you don’t become overwhelmed and tackle one room at a time. It’s amazing how accomplishing simple things can make your space feel more like home. Life happens and things will come up so don’t worry about having everything done at once.

  4. {Melinda} It’s looking very homey! :) Love the kids’ rooms. We are painting and redecorating my daughter’s room this week. Lots of purple. Kind of sad because she’s almost 16 and this is probably the last re-do before she leaves the nest. Sniff.

  7. Stopping by from SITS! Looks like you have a great space, lots of possibilities. And you have a Keurig so the most important part is taking care of :)
